My dog is anxious. Do you sedate?
Never. That is the whole point of fear-free.
We are Fear Free certified, which means anxious dogs get a calmer, slower process — not rushed through like a car wash, and never medicated to make the schedule work. Every dog gets read for stress before anything else happens, the visit runs at their pace, and they see the same groomer every single time so nobody is ever a stranger with clippers.
If your dog is anxious or reactive, just tell us ahead of time when you book. We’ll plan the whole visit around it.
Do I need an appointment?
For a full groom, bath and tidy or deshedding treatment — yes, book ahead so we can give your dog an unhurried appointment. Nail trims are the exception: they’re a ten-minute walk-in service, no appointment needed, any time we’re open.
How long will my dog be with you?
A grooming appointment runs 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the service and your dog. We don’t groom to a stopwatch — if your dog needs the slower version of the day, they get it.
Do you take a deposit? What if I need to cancel?
No deposit. If your plans change, we just ask for 24 hours’ notice — and there’s no charge if you need to cancel. We’re flexible; life with pets rarely runs to plan and we know it.
Do you groom cats?
We do — Wag & Wash is a dog and cat grooming spa. Cats get the same fear-free, no-rush treatment as every dog who walks through the door.
Will my dog get the same groomer each time?
Yes — every visit, on purpose. It’s one of the three things we built this business on. A familiar face, familiar hands and a familiar routine turn “going to the groomer” from an ordeal into a habit your dog can relax into.
Is there parking? Anything I should do before we arrive?
There’s free parking right outside the salon at 7/22 Burnett Street, Buderim. Please bring your dog on lead, and let us know ahead of time about any anxiety or reactivity so we can plan the visit around it.
My double-coated dog is shedding everywhere. Can you help?
This is exactly what our deshedding treatment is for — the double-coated breeds shedding through the house. Noticeably less fur, guaranteed.
